POSITION TITLE: Code Support Specialist

JOB LOCATION:

Building Department
City Hall – City of Zephyrhills

SALARY RANGE:

Starting Salary: $36,117.90 / $17.36/hr.
Pay Grade Z-153.
Non-Exempt.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or GED.
Applicant must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience performing high-level administrative duties; an equivalent combination of education and experience that is determined to be directly related.
High proficiency in typing skills and computer operations and programs is required.

BRIEF DESCRIPTIONS OF DUTIES:

This position is responsible for performing one or more clerical assignments of average difficulty.
Position requires proficiency in typing, and use of computer equipment and software.
Ability to apply specialized knowledge and experience in the interpretation of rules and regulations for the completion of certain assignments.
Tasks for this position require the exercise of reasonable initiative and independent judgement.
Receive, process, and generate building department fees; provide receipt to customers and prepare deposits.
Respond to inquiries and complaints; refer to the appropriate person for resolution.
Provide customer service and direction to citizens, visitors, contractors, property owners, and City personnel.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Select candidates will have a background check and physical exam completed before employment. Possession of a current valid Florida Driver’s License is also required.

The compensation package will start at the base salary range and may vary based on proven abilities of the individual selected. The City of Zephyrhills has an excellent benefit package which includes medical, dental, life insurance, and Florida Retirement System (FRS).
